The union has spoken to the state government about acquiring the site, to ensure its future use is 'appropriate and sympathetic'. It comes as preparations are being finalised for tomorrow's public funeral service for the two fallen police officers, the president of the union says they want to prevent the property from ever falling into the wrong hands.
