Beyond the magical barriers lies a world overrun by ferocious beasts known as Fire Demons. The only ones who can protect humanity are the Fire Hunters. It is in the dark forests where animals roam that Tôko, a young villager, is saved from an attack by one of these hunters, Kôshi. But their meeting was not fortuitous and a new destiny awaited them.
