Wigan Holocaust Memorial Day

Wigan citizens stood in solemn remembrance of the world's victims of genocide to marked Holocaust Memorial Day. Ordinary People was this year's theme as St John Fisher Year 7 pupils performed a drama, dance and musical performance based on the theme “Ordinary People doing Extra Acts of Bravery.” The event was organised by former teacher Jean Hensey-Reynard who has been involved in promoting Holocaust education programmes for almost a quarter of a century.
