Debut album by singer/songwriter Andy Roberts from Hatch End, London. "Home grown" was recorded in late 1969, beautifully arranged, with excellent guitar work from Andy itself. On "Home grown" Andy was backed on some tracks by the rhythm section from Mighty Baby, with brass arrangements from future Jethro Tull man Davi Palmer. An eclectic album, punctuated with brief bursts of violin and organ noodling, key tracks included the ragtime/country flavored numbers "Home grown" and "Gig song" as well as a funky cover of "Creepy John".
