Master Chief has intel that he has a weapon to retrieve. This Weapon, is actually an AI, just like Cortana. Weapon was actually designed to delete Cortana but it seems like she does not know she was Cortana's direct copy yet. However, it seems like the Banished is preventing Master Chief from obtaining her.
