Introduced as the Brand's Cheapest EV at $34,950. New Volvo EX30 Small SUV 2024
It is also the fastest production Volvo to date, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.4 seconds in the EX30 Twin Engine Performance appearance.

It will be priced at $34,950 in the US and around 36,000 euros in Europe, where it's currently available for pre-order, Volvo says pricing is similar to an internal combustion-engined SUV of the same size.

Speaking of size, the EX30 is 166.6 inches (4,233 millimeters) long, 72.3 inches (1,837 mm) wide and 61.2 inches (1,555) mm high, with a 104.3-inch (2,650 mm) wheelbase. Volvo says the EX30's chassis has been tuned to make the most of the car's compact dimensions, low center of gravity and relatively low and evenly distributed weight - its minimum curb weight is 4,034 pounds (1,830 kg).

Minimalist Cabinet with 12.3-Inch Single-Screen Infotainment System
The EX30's interior features a minimalist Scandinavian interior blended with cutting-edge technology. In the center of the dashboard is a 12.3-inch single-screen infotainment system and a soundbar that covers the entire upper part of the instrument cluster under the windshield - this is the first of its kind in a car.

Highlights include a digital key compatible with a wide range of phone makes and models, a dedicated app that offers all related car-related services (charging, location, lock/unlock and heating), and the latest generation Park Pilot Assist feature.

When it comes to interior design, customers can choose from four different interior themes and five different ambient lighting themes, each paired with an ambient sound scheme.

Apparently Volvo is offering EX30 customers in the US two drivetrain options called Single Engine Extended Range and Dual Engine Performance. The first combines a rear-mounted electric motor with 268 horsepower (200 kilowatts) and 253 pound-feet (343 Newton-meters) of torque with an extended-range battery with 64 kilowatt-hours of usable capacity.

The battery has NMC chemistry (lithium, nickel, manganese, and cobalt), allowing the EX30 Single Engine Extended Range to offer an estimated range of 275 miles between charges.

The EX30 Twin Engine Performance adds a front electric motor for AWD capability and a total output of 422 hp (315 kW) and 400 lb-ft (543 Nm) of system torque. That's enough to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, making the EX30 Twin Engine Performance Volvo's fastest accelerating production car ever.
