PH women's football team needs financial aid--Federation president

Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano 'Nonong' Araneta shared that the Federation needs financial aid from the government to help fund the Philippine women's football team's preparations for the FIFA Women's World Cup. During the Filipinas pre-departure event on June 8, 2023 at the New Zealand Residence in Makati, Mariano said the PFF hopes to receive around P30 million from the Philippine Sports Commission. The Filipinas are slotted in Group A of the World Cup alongside Switzerland whom they will face on July 21, New Zealand on July 25 and Norway on July 30.
