Police conduct media briefing in Leyland after evacuation

Supt Gary Crowe and DCI Scott Waddington from Lancashire Police, conduct a press conference from Nursery Close in Leyland, after a 59-year-old man was arrested this morning (Thursday 22 June) under the Explosives Act.
A large number of officers, including armed response units, descended on the area around Broadfield Drive and West Paddock at around 9am.
Police confirmed that the operation was being led by counter terrorist police.
