Sydney author Shankari Chandran wins Miles Franklin Literary Award for her third novel

A novel that explores cultural connection and what it means to be Australian has won the prestigious Miles Franklin Literary Award. 'Chai time at Cinnamon Gardens' is the third novel from Shankari Chandran – and is set in a nursing home in Western Sydney.
