The Posuban Shrines of Elmina, Ghana - Unique Architecture

These shrines are very unique and most Fante towns will at least have one of those shrines. They were put up by very influential companies, which have an impact of the town's local life. Many times they were store houses or ammunition lagers or were used for other usages of similar importance.

Finding the 4 shrines of Elmina makes a fun walk and you should also stop by the Dutch Cemetery and take up the stairs of the convent to the top of the hill behind it which will spoil you with amazing views of Elmina.
