VFX Legion crafted over 170 effects for ‘Totally Killer,’ director Nahnatchka Khan’s horror-comedy from Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television.
'Totally Killer' called fo artists to altered the practical footage with a wide range of invisible effects. CG knife blades covered with blood, digital removal of prosthetics, enhanced wounds, green screens, tracking, painting, and composition are among the effects that heighten the visceral impact of the most bone-chilling moments in the gory Halloween tale.
Blake Anderson, Legion’s B.C.-based VFX supervisor, headed up the production of effects for the time-traveling Halloween thriller. CEO and co-founder, James David Hattin, helmed the job from the company's Burbank location, working closely with Khan to ensure that team approached each shot with a clear understanding of the director's vision.
