A gang were caught on CCTV 'ram-raiding' a sleeping family's house in a farmer's vehicle.
Video captured the moment three raiders all wearing balaclavas, reversed into a family's garage door in a heavy utility task buggy.
Neil Lewis, 43, said his wife and two-year-old daughter were left "terrified" after getting woken up at 2:30am to a bang so loud "the entire street heard it".
The concerned father said his family are still dealing with shock in the incident in in Abersychan, Wales.
Neil said he was woken up last Wednesday morning to an "almighty bang".
He said: "I immediately jumped out of bed and all I could see was a Kawasaki mule on the drive - an agricultural vehicle used in farms for moving cattle.
"I opened the window and could hear the dog going mad - so I started shouting out the window.
"I saw one male run past the machine and leg it down the road, and two others jump into the van and drive off.
"They had rammed the garage door - but thankfully because it all happened so quickly they didn't manage to take anything."
The family's dog sleeps in the utility by the shed, which explains why it was barking so loudly.
Neil said the bizarre incident has left the family shaken up and he shared the CCTV footage on a local Facebook group to spread the word.
He explained: "My wife is not feeling 100% in the house now, and we just wanted to put it out there, with Christmas coming up - people get complacent.
"If there is a gang going around on those kind of machines - everyone should know.
"It was completely out of the ordinary - you hear of shops, businesses and units being rammed but not homes!
"The group actually hit the garage going into our house, it wasn't a separate building, but an actual house with people inside it.
"Many people are sharing it now because of the magnitude of what it is - somebody's family home, you just don't expect it at all."
The family's footage shows the buggy reversing from the road between two vehicles on the driveway.
The vehicle then rammed into the garage door at full force, and the three figures can be seen jumping out the buggy to try and break in.
No sooner than eight seconds after getting out of the buggy, the criminals were speeding out of the driveway.
Neil admits he thought everything about the incident was strange - from the vehicle used to the obtrusive manner of the attack.
He said: "If I was gonna do something like that it wouldn't be at 2:30am in the morning.
"They woke the street up!
"And to think they would go to those lengths to open up a garage that could've been totally empty!
"There are also not many of those machines going round - if you were to see that on the road, it would definitely stick out.
"It's hard to identify their faces but hopefully there is a way the machine can be tracked down."
According to South Wales Argus, Gwent Police have confirmed they received a call at about 2.40am on November 15 reporting the damage to the garage door.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a call at about 2.40am, on November 15, reporting damage the damage to the garage door on Snatchwood View in Abersychan.
“Officers are investigating and anyone with any information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101, quoting 2300388631, or you can direct message police on social media.”
