The Indian Navy has responded swiftly to a distress call or a ‘Mayday’ from a Malta-flagged commercial vessel named MV Ruen. According to reports, the vessel was reportedly hijacked in the Arabian Sea and was headed towards Somalia. The UK Maritime Operations has confirmed that the crew had lost control of the vessel.
