Rocket Car Racing FAIL (GTA 5 Racing)

The racing was going so well, then I hopped into a Vigilante, and things... Well, things got interesting.
I believe I was using Guadmaz's Community Races script (which was/is a good mod, don't get me wrong) for this, which automatically activates the rocket/jet booster. Great on the straightaways, not so much when you're trying to slow down or turn.
As a side note, though these are commonly called rocket cars by players and even by Rockstar, the "rockets" are actually jet turbine engines.
