Aid workers in quake-hit Japanese city fear bad weather may exacerbate relief efforts

Aid workers in an earthquake-hit northern Japanese city, on Sunday (January 7) morning expressed concerns that falling temperatures and possible snowfall may exacerbate rescue and relief efforts.

The city of Wajima which was devastated by the New Year’s Day earthquake, experienced heavy rainfall.

Rescue teams could be seen working amongst damaged buildings.
