Alan and with Barry Wheeler now persuaded with the existence of supernatural phenomenon, visits Bright Falls' Trailer Park to meet with Rose. Rose Marigold had contacted Alan about a manuscript he'll be needing for his ransom deal to take back Alice. However, things go awry as Rose is used by the Dark Presence, an FBI agent called Nightingale hunts Wake and he resorts to finding refuge to DJ Pat Maine.
