Thousands of junior doctors across Wales have gone on strike in a dispute over pay. This is the second time in as many months BMA members have taken industrial action, which will last until Saturday morning. Most non-urgent appointments have been cancelled, with the public being warned to use hospitals only if absolutely necessary.

Wales have been dealt a major blow as captain Aaron Ramsey has been ruled out for the national side’s Euro 2024 play off against Finland next month. The Cardiff City captain has had a history of injuries during his career, and has been sidelined for his club for much of the current championship season.

A man and woman have been bailed after allegedly preventing the proper burial of two babies in Bridgend. Police have not confirmed the age or gender of the babies, but Zilvinas Ledovskis, 48, of Neath Road Swansea, and Egle Zilinskaite, 30, of Crwys road, Cardiff, will appear in court facing the charges on 19th March.
