March is “Music in Our Schools” Month with Rocksmith

Practice, practice, practice. Your music teacher was right – it IS the only way to improve. It’s also a primary reason so many people are FORMER music students. Practicing just isn’t fun.
But imagine if instead of picking out repetitive scales or learning the same dusty pieces your grandparents practiced, you got your musical workout in by jamming along with your favorite songs. Rock with Metallica or Green Day. Tickle the ivories with Billy Joel or Alicia Keys.
Now, thanks to the team behind the award-winning “gamified” music learning service, practicing can be fun and it can easily be used in the classroom. Maybe it’s time to honor those past music teachers and pick up that instrument – or learn a new one – and find the fun in music again!
As school music programs across the country continue to be at risk of losing funding, Rocksmith+ provides a cost effective and fun way for kids to learn piano or guitar and continue honing their skills.
Shane Gann, member of the touring band Hail the Sun and Lead Music Library Developer for Rocksmith+, shares how musicians at any stage can benefit from the tech behind the service and how it’s a game changer for him and his band. For more information visit www.getrocksmith.com
