Suspicious Deputy Caught Prowling Again - April 4, 2024

Before daylight on April 4th, 2024, sheriff's deputies in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana were dispatched to a report of a prowler walking through a woman's yard and shining a flashlight through her windows.
Very conveniently, one deputy was already parked nearby with a good view of the woman's house, with his headlights off. The other deputy arrived a few minutes later and spoke to the complainant, while the already on-scene deputy just stayed parked. I guess he didn't want to show his face for fear of being recognized...
The complainant advised there were two male subjects walking in her backyard and one shined a flashlight through her windows, and they took off walking back toward where the deputy was parked. That deputy then stated he was sitting there the whole time and he didn't see anyone walk past him. Hmm...
This deputy was previously caught prowling around another address a few months ago, with the complainant more thoroughly describing the suspect vehicle as a white SUV and one of the suspects as wearing a deputy uniform. He denied involvement and tried to pin it on another deputy who was on the other side of the parish working a call.
This deputy also regularly allows his, shall we say "less-than law abiding," buddies to ride with him on patrol. These people are neither SO employees nor are they POST certified, but reportedly he allows them to wear their firearms and generally act like cops.
Given this deputy's history of prowling and acting suspicious with his non-LEO riders, the fact that he was conveniently sitting nearby with a clear view of the complainant's house, and his claim that he didn't see anyone walking or shining lights... You know where this is going... I strongly suspect that the people walking through the woman's yard and shining lights through her windows, were in fact that creepy deputy and whoever was riding with him.
