In this video I played Mario Kart DS in wifi mode with dial-up and with a 10 MB download running while playing and this video shows that it only lags when downloading or surfing the web while playing, but it still doesn't affect the other people you just see the other people's characters bouncing (like in this video) and they see your character bounce.

This video is to only show what lag looks like it's NOT to show that dial-up lags a lot on MKDS!
