How Good is The iPhone 4G really?

We know how the iPhone 4 sizes up against the aging 3GS -- but how does it fare against its fiercest competitors from all the major platforms?
One of the biggest pitfalls with the iPhone4 is the lack of Flash support. Steve jobbs is quoted as saying Flash is pants and everyone should be moving to HTML 5 anyway. (okkkkayyyy Steve!) In addition he blamed Flash for everything that causes his nice shiny Macs to crash. ... Relations between Adobe, which makes Flash, and Apple are not particularly good at the moment.
The iPhone 4G will continue to do well, but to really hit it out of the ballpark, Apple needs to roll out the iPhone on other carriers in the US. Maybe this will happen in 2011 or 2012.
