World Cup hero Stiles puts medal up for sale

Former England midfielder Nobby Stiles is selling a collection of memorabilia from his soccer career, including his 1966 World Cup winner's medal.
The 68-year-old, who suffered a stroke in June, will sell 45 lots, including a 1966 World Cup cap, his 1968 European Cup winner's medal and the blue Manchester United shirt worn in that final against Benfica.
The former tough-tackling midfielder also won two league titles during 11 years with Manchester United.
Also going on sale is Alan Ball's 1966 World Cup Final shirt, which Stiles acquired in a swap for his own.
Born Norbert Peter Stiles in Collyhurst, Manchester, in 1942, he was awarded the MBE in 2000 for his part in England's 4-2 victory over West Germany on July 30, 1966.
The World Cup winner's medal alone is expected to sell for between £100,000 and £150,000 pounds at the auction in Edinburgh on October 27.
