Cher Lloyd records duet with will.i.am

X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd has recorded a duet with will.i.am.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman announced the news himself on his Twitter page.

"Hey cher, when should we release the song we recorded in london???...(Its a smasher)"

Later the rapper added, "The day after the last xfactor...cher loyd and I went in the studio and made a mega smasher."

Will.i.am, who is very good friends with Cheryl Cole, Cher's mentor on the reality show, performed with the 17-year-old on the X Factor final.

Cher ended up coming fourth on the show behind One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle.

However she has reportedly been signed to Simon Cowell's record label anyway with rumours willi.i.am is to be part of her creative team for her debut album.
