America's legendary motorcycle, Harley Davidson, is breaking a new record in Indonesia. Let's go to our correspondent in Indonesia to find out more.

816 Harley Davidson motorcycles in Indonesia gather for a record-breaking ride in the capital city.

A representative from the Indonesian World Record Museum has awarded Mabua Harley Davidson's director an award for the longest motorcycle convoy in Indonesia.

Hundreds of Harley Davidson biker clubs from across Indonesia are participating in the hour-long convoy. Other riders are from Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.

The convoy reaches more than a mile long.

To help with traffic, Jakarta police have placed 500 officers along the convoy route through the Indonesian capital.

This Harley convoy breaks the last record in 2007 when Mabua Harley Davidson had 429 bikers riding.

[Djonnie Rachmat, Mabua Harley Davidson]:
"I hope this convey of bikers can come together as one, and do many positive things."

After the convoy, Mabua Harley Davidson is holding a blood drive together with the Red Cross.

[Zukhriatul Hafizah, Miss Environment 2009]:
"Yes, I think it's reasonable that many people are still afraid of this community. In movies, we often see Harley Davidson riders as gangsters and such, who like to speed, but in fact, like I see today, they are a very family-oriented community, some of them take their children and wives. They also hold positive activities like a blood drive and other social activities. If I hear that they like to speeding, I think it depends on the biker. Overall, I can see this community is positive, so there is nothing to scared of."

Harley Davidson first came to Indonesia in 1920 when the Dutch used their motorcycles during Dutch colonization.
