Chelsea selling Fernando Torres replica shirts

Chelsea is keeping its fans happy by selling Fernando Torres shirts almost immediately after his record-breaking move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea signed Liverpool's Spanish striker on a five and a half year contract on Monday in a deal widely reported to be worth a British record £50 million.

The Premier League rivals agreed a fee earlier on the final day of the January transfer window, shortly before the 11pm deadline.

Torres's signing completed a last-minute spending spree by Chelsea who also signed Benfica's defender David Luiz for 25 million euros on the final day.

Chelsea had not made any major signings throughout the month but buying Torres and Luiz is a real statement that the club, owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, remain big hitters in the market.

The signing adds extra spice to Sunday's premier league clash when Chelsea host Liverpool.
