Little Big Planet 2 - Content is King

With the release of Little Big Planet in 2008, Playstation 3 owners discovered that they could not only create their own levels, but share them with the rest of the world via the Playstation Network as well. Now with Little Big Planet 2, this idea expands beyond just levels. With the aid of our old friend Sackboy, players can now create entire games for everyone to see.

In Media Molecule's Little Big Planet 2, aspiring game developers and casual players alike now have even more resources at hand to create their own games, levels, and whatever else they can imagine. Players familiar to the franchise will find that instead of having Sackboy do all the work, as was featured in the first game, they can now control and manipulate materials and objects themselves, allowing for greater detail and precision.

But what if you're not the developing type and just want to play the game itself? Not to worry, the single player experience has got you covered. Sackboy now has little companions called Sackbots that he must guide and interact with throughout the game. Coupled with a new, in-depth story, users will have plenty of fun with the single player as well.

Little Big Planet 2 was released in January, 2011 exclusively for the Playstation 3.
