Vancouver drug injection site under threat

Vancouver has one of North America's highest concentration of intravenous drug users -- and also the sole center where they can legally go to shoot up. Users at Insite inject drugs in a supervised environment and get access to treatment and counseling if desired. The results since Insite's opening in 2003 are significant -- a reduction in HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C infection, and a decrease in deaths due to overdose.
