Malata SMB-B1005 Honeycomb 10.1-inch tablet hands-on

http://www.tweaktown.com Computex Taipei 2011 - It wouldn't be Computex without a truck load of tablets. Next up Nicole goes hands-on with the Malata SMB-B1005 Honeycomb 10.1-inch tablet.

This device is based on NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor and comes installed with Google Android 3.0. The screen responsiveness is really good and Nicole was impressed by the HD video playback. However, the speakers seem to be pretty shoddy - it was tough to near any noise at all, but maybe they will be improved in the final shipping version. If not, you are probably going to want a set of headphones nearby when using it.

Nicole was impressed by the weight of the device which she reckons would compare and go up hard against the Motorola Xoom tablet. The back of the device has a stylish Apple like back mesh finish.

It should go on sale within the next few weeks at a competitive price point.
