CallmeKat (Dk) / Erika Spring (Us)

Ce projet présente au public de la pop alternative des deux côtés de l’Atlantique. La danoise CallmeKat est connue pour ses délicates et mélancoliques mélodies sur son clavier vintage, qui lorsqu’elle est combinée avec sa voix expressive feutrée fascine les auditeurs. C’est la même chose pour l’autre invitée au SPOT – la chanteuse et claviériste Erika Spring de Au Revoir Simone, qui a eu un âge plus sombre avec le trio de Brooklyn. Pour les enregistrements de son prochain album, CallmeKat a invité Erika Spring à bord, donc il n’y a pas qu’au SPOT que le résultat de leur collaboration pourra être entendu. La collaboration est en cours depuis un certain temps et implique également le producteur New-YorkaisJo Magistro (The Black Crowes, etc) et la bassiste anglaise Sara Lee (Gang of Four, le B-52, etc.).

This joint project presents the audience with alternative pop from both sides of the Atlantic. Danish CallmeKat is known for her delicate, melancholy melodies on her vintage keyboard, which when combined with her hushed yet expressive voice spellbind the listeners. The same goes for her guest at SPOT – singer and keyboardist Erika Spring of Au Revoir Simone, who has a darker edge to her on her own than with the Brooklyn trio. During the recordings of her coming album CallmeKat invited Erika Spring on board, so it is not just at SPOT that the result of their collaboration can be heard. The collaboration has been going on for quite some time and also involves New York producer Jo Magistro (The Black Crowes, etc.) and British bass guitarist Sara Lee (Gang of Four, the B-52s, etc.).
