2004 US Open Tennis –Jennifer Capriati vs Serena Williams: Birth of HawkEye System

This is the 2004 U.S. Open match quarter-final between Jennifer Capriati and Serena Williams. This match is credited with having given birth to the Hawk Eye System. This is only the last game of a match that saw many obvious calls going against her. Racism was on the mind of many in the country and Portuguese Mariana Alves was the Umpire who should have been fired and sued. Incompetence is too kind of a word for this plain bigotry. Not only is she back calling Grand Slam matches, she even called another Serena Williams match at the 2010 Wimbledon.
