Pins will be screwed into the vertebral bodies and used to open up the collapsed disc space to regain normal inter-vertebral space height and alignment. The diseased inter-vertebral disc will be removed. Any posterior vertebral body bone spurs and the posterior longitudinal ligament may be removed showing orthopedic movies.
