A full recording of Michael Jackson's slurred conversation with Dr. Conrad Murray was played for jurors in the seventh day of Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial. Jurors got a preview of the audio during the prosecution's opening statements last week, but heard the full recording on Wednesday (October 05). In it, a seemingly delirious Jackson said he wanted to dedicate his "This Is It" concerts to his children because he felt he didn't have a childhood of his own.
The Black Eyed Peas have pulled out of this week's Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales. Organizers say the band has withdrawn due to "unavoidable circumstances." Still on the bill for Saturday's (October 08) show are Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson and Cee Lo Green.
Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier said he has been questioned by police in Denmark over his controversial comments about Adolf Hitler at the Cannes film festival, and the interrogation has prompted him to cease all interviews from now on. Von Trier said he will no longer make any public statements or interviews. He was expelled from the Cannes film festival earlier this year after a press conference for his film, "Melancholia" at which he jokingly said he sympathized with Hitler.
Finally, Johnny Depp issued an apology for comparing his participation in a photo shoot to being raped - that's how the actor described it in an interview with Vanity Fair. He issued a statement saying, "I am truly sorry for offending anyone in any way." The interview is in the November issue of the magazine.
