Fighting continues in Sirte

Fighters supporting Libya's National Transitional Council keep up the pressure on Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte.
Smoke rises as the shelling continues in what the NTC says is its final push.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) ANTI-GADDAFI FIGHTER, MOHAMMAD BIN NA'ASAN, SAYING:
''Today we are pushing from three fronts and we are dividing our forces along each front and thank God we don't see that there is a lot of resistance, and there are still more people leaving. Today we saw people leaving.''
Civilians have their belongings checked as they flee the city.
Gaddafi loyalists who pulled back to Sirte when they lost control of other cities are putting up a fierce resistance.
The fighting has been going on for three weeks and the casualties continue to mount.
Resources are dwindling in local hospitals as aid agencies face difficulties delivering supplies.
