The series will detail Cheney's single-minded pursuit of power and his phenomenal rise to the top of the US political ladder. It will also examine the decisions he took during two controversial terms as veep to George W. Bush. And how he managed to stay at the top while all the time battling ill health. But should the final product prove too much for Cheney, will he follow the Kennedy's example from January and kill the show before it goes to air?
