STORY: British comic Ricky Gervais didn't hold back - as expected - when he came out swinging during his opening Golden Globes monologue on Sunday (January 15).
Gervais threw zingers at several familiar targets, from Kim Kardashian to Mel Gibson, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which hosts the Globes, largely considered tinseltown's dressed-down version of the Academy Awards.
