The Rangers won the rights to negotiate with Japan's best pitcher after winning a blind auction to pay his former team, the Nippon Ham Fighters, a $51.7 million posting fee. Is Yu Darvish worth it? Darvish enjoys rock star status in Japan, so he should be able to handle the intense scrutiny he will receive from the American and Japanese media. One thing is for sure.
