Bona Fide Federation have created a fresh sound with a line up of drums, cello, piano, bass and vocals. Last year, the band won the Sea Sessions Battle of The Bands and were singled out by the judges as "a breath of fresh air, their pure originality making them stand out from all the other acts". Bona Fide Federation launch their indie-pop debut single 'Festival' on the 17th of June in the lead up to the Sea Sessions 2011, where they performed on the festival's main stage. 'Festival' was recorded and produced by Peter Lee (producer with Miracle Bell).
In October Bona Fide Federation supported 'O Emperor' on their 'Hither Thither' album tour, as well as 'Fred' on their 2010 Irish Tour. Lately the band have been busy touring, hitting venues such as Dolans (Limerick), Whelan's (Dubin), Pavilion (Cork), Monroe's (Galway), Main Stage at Sea Sessions and Indiependence Festival, The Ruby Sessions and Communion Dublin to name but a few. Bona Fide Federation play this years IMRO showcase tour and have been earmarked as "one to watch".
