Formed in February 2010, David was An Acrobat are a Dublin based 4 piece rock band inspired and influenced by our surroundings and experiences but also by a broad variety of music. They are Adam Cooke (bass/Vocals), Emmet Smith (Drums), John Jereza (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Ciaran O'Rourke (Guitar/ Lead Vocals). Formed in the basement of DIT and united by a mutual passion for making music, the quartet produce new and energetic music which is ready to be heard by all and reflects this intence passion. Each member is a talented musician and met originally playing as part of a jamming session once a week in DIT's Gig Society, soon they realised something could come of this.
DWAA have played many venues around dublin including Whelans main venue and upstairs, The Mezz, The Pint, The Hard Rock and Crawdaddy. And also had the opportunity to play with one of Dublin's fastest growing bands CODES. --'The feedback we have received from our audiences has been amazing and fundemental to fueling our passion to grow as a band. It has also helped us in creating new and exciting music.'
'We believe our unique sound comes from each member drawing on their different influences such as rock, hip hop and latin rhythms and putting their individual stamp on each song. We take the best of these influences to create diverse and interesting songs whilst still retaining the unique sound we aim to produce. These influences can be heard througout our constantly expanding catalogue of originals.'
