Gears of War 2 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Gears of War 2 for the Xbox 360. Released in 2008, this game was developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios. Marcus Fenix is back, and he is still hard at work fighting the Locust Horde. In addition to continuing the story from the first game, Gears of War 2 features the Horde mode, now one of the most popular added modes in the shooter genre.
