Donkey Kong '94 Review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Donkey Kong '94, an action platformer developed and published in 1994 by Nintendo for the Game Boy. Everything started off fine, familiar to arcadegoers of yesteryear. Mario -- or Jumpman, whatever you want to call him -- trounced DK, saved Pauline, got the power-up, won the game... but this ape wasn't about to take it lying down. He rose up, grabbed the girl, and changed the entire paradigm. The standard arcade gameplay gets turned on its ear, in this precursor to the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong series.
