Classic Game Room - ROBOT TANK for Atari 2600 review

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of ROBOT TANK for the Atari 2600 VCS video computer system. What's not to like about Robot Tank, it's a tank and a robot... in one! Like a spork in tank form. Robot Tank was released in 1983 and is very similar to another first person shooter style game on the Atari 2600, BATTLEZONE. CGRHD reviewed Battlezone a while back and has always enjoyed both games. There are some major differences between Robot Tank and Battlezone that you can spot easily when playing the games, and the gameplay footage should point this out as well. In Robot Tank your tank can take damage; in Battlezone there are other kinds of enemies and it feels more like a real 3D environment. Robot Tank is from Activision and features a 24 hour a day clock and changing variable weather. Enjoy watching the sun set while relaxing in your Robot Tank on the battlefield. Robot Tank is an excellent military combat game and one that you will enjoy if you dig Atari games and FPS style first person shooters like Halo, Bioshock and Resistance Fall of Man. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The reviews on the HD series are reviewing PS3, PS2, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360.
