The first ever vintage car rally was organized in Ahmedabad by the Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club, founding members include Subodh Nath and Navroz Tarapore.
The Gujarat Vintage and Classic Car Club organized this Vintage Classic and Old Car Awareness Drive, with an intention to bring awareness among people for vintage cars. The rally featured such as Jaguar XK 140, Hudson, Morris Minor, Blue Buick, Volkswagen beetle, Hillman, Sunbeam Bolt Car, etc.
This is the first time after almost three decades that such a scene was seen in the streets of Ahmedabad. The period between, 1919 — 1939 is known as the Vintage period. With time these cars have now become priceless.
