Benazir Bhutto was in Peshawar, but further north in the same province, there's a bigger battle over the future of Pakistan.

The Pakistani army has been engaged in a major offensive in the Swat valley, against supporters of a radical local cleric.

According to the army, up to 220 fighters and 50 soldiers have been killed in just the past two weeks.
The fighting has also forced thousands of people to flee their homes.

Rageh Omaar has flown into the region to hear the views of the army and those caught up in the ongoing conflict.
