12 people are dead and more than 90 injured after two suicide bomb attacks on a police post in Dagestan, Russia late Thursday.
Officials say the first attacker detonated a bomb when police stopped a vehicle to check documents.
The second explosion came when fire brigades and ambulances arrived on the scene, causing additional casualties.
Investigators say they had found the remains of a man and a woman suspected of being the suicide bombers.
The attacks were the deadliest in months and threaten to undermine efforts by security forces to contain an Islamist insurgency in the region.
