FIFA 2010 World Cup legacy yet to take shape

FIFA, soccer's ruling body hoped it would leave a legacy when South Africa made sporting history a year ago by hosting the first World Cup on the African continent.

For some at the nation's sponsored football academies, but it is a legacy that is far from complete. Many of South Africa's youth are prone to the dangers that impoverished pose.

But by offering an alternative to vices that plague townships FIFA hopes that the beautiful game will inspire a beautiful life.
