Classic Game Room - GOLF for Atari 2600 review
  • 12 years ago
"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" CGRHD pars up a bogie with a birdie in this game of 9-hole retro video game golf action on the Atari 2600. Long before Tiger Woods 2K8 golf on the Xbox 360, or Golden Tee, we played Golf on the Atari 2600. The Atari 2600 had lots of sports games like bowling, football, baseball, ice hockey, boxing and yes... golf. You don't visit some of the most exotic golf courses in the country like Pinehurst, Pebble Beach, Oakmont, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, Oakland Hills, Olympia Fields or Bethpage State Park. There aren't celebrity golfers like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino or Jim Furyk. You don't even play 18-holes of championship golf. You play 9 holes of Atari golf. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Arcade XBLA.
