Classic Game Room - VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 for PS3 review
  • 12 years ago
"Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" CGRHD reviews Virtua Fighter 5 for the Playstation 3 video game console. This arcade style fighting game has punches, kicks and complex combinations just like most other 3D style fighting games like Soul Caliber and DOA2 (Dead or Alive series). In fact this has a lot in common with most fighting games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Kung Fu. Sega made this game, and Sega always does a great job with goofy music and characters. VF5 is a fun game on the PS3 that will keep you busy for hours. Fight against numerous opponents who use different martial arts and kickboxing fighting styles, like the Ultimate Fighting Championship or Pro Wrestling... sort of. They have cage matches and hulking steroid driven-mad kind of bad guys, and chicks who flip and spin and kick just like in the movies. Some movie nods might be Enter the 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Kickboxing, Bloodsport, Shoulin Dolemite, Hard to Kill and Supercop (just to name a few). Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Arcade XBLA.
