GI Joe The Rise of Cobra the video game is based on the G.I.Joe series and movie and features 16 playable characters (12 Joes and 4 Cobras). This CGRHD review of GI JOE The Rise of Cobra on Xbox 360 has gameplay footage from G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra showing HD game play from the 360 version, which is no doubt identical to the PS3 version of GI Joe the video game. 20 levels, 4 environments and lots of explosions, G. I. Joe is like a cross between a 3rd person shooter and top down shooter like Assault Heroes or Ikari Warriors. Each character has a different weapon and different special attacks. Play co-op with a friend and take on the enemy together on screen at the same time. GI Joe the Rise of Cobra has achievement points that can be unlocked as you play the game, win achievements for capturing Baroness and winning levels, etc... unlock new joes with points and crush B.A.T. troopers and HISS tanks. Fans of the old school G.I. Joe cartoon series and GI Joe action figures and comic books should enjoy the game because it has a cheesy, old school quality to it. The plot of the game takes place after the events in the movie, but that doesn't really matter. If it moves and shouts "Cobraaaa!" you shoot it.
