Enbridge Wins Sustainable Business Awards: CVS Caremark Remakes Pharmacy Service; Blommer Chocolate Invests in Sustainable Cocoa - CSR Minute for May 17, 2012

Enbridge has reported results of its community engagement and environmental stewardship efforts. More than 11,000 cyclists raised $44 million dollars in Enbridge’s Ride to Conquer Cancer in 2011. Earlier this year, Enbridge was named one of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations and ranked Number Two in Canada, and for the third consecutive year, has been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2012.

CVS Caremark has released its 2011 CSR Report. The report presents the company’s strategy for reinventing pharmacy service for better health. It also outlines the company’s focus on diversity, both within its own workforce and in active engagement with the communities it serves. In addition, CVS describes progress in reducing its carbon intensity by 15 percent by 2018, and, for the first time, includes an accounting of the company’s political contributions and activities.
