CGRundertow SCURGE: HIVE for Nintendo DS Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Scurge: Hive from Orbital Media and SouthPeak Interactive for the Nintendo DS. Scurge: Hive is also available for the Game Boy Advance. Scurge: Hive is very similar to Nintendo's own Metroid series. In fact, Scurge: Hive is basically Metroid with more action and more ponytail. Jenosa Arma is a female bounty hunter who wears a cool suit that lets her shoot stuff from her arm, she kills lots of gruesome space monsters and she gets infected by an unknown space parasite that's slowly killing her. The biggest difference between the two, however, is the game's pacing. In Metroid, the emphasis is exploration, and as such, you spend a lot of time just walking around and soaking in the atmosphere. If you try to do that in the action-heavy Scurge: Hive, you end up dead in a few minutes. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Scurge: Hive for the Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
